Investigation
Investigations are a formal or systemic approach to gaining a better understanding of something, or someone, through research and/or observations over a set period of time. Many of the courses I took in pursuit of my degree contained differing investigation elements. However, a few of my experiences while completing these investigations stood out from the rest.

This artifact highlights my capability to investigate a specific work of literature and create a personal connection and understanding to what the author meant in his writing. Howard Gardner's work, Truth, Beauty, and Goodness Reframed. I explore what Howard Gardner means when he talks about the importance of educating for the virtues. I investigated each virtue individually and discussed the contemporary challenges it faces to determine why Gardner feels it is vital to educate for the virtues.

In this literacy case study, I display my ability to investigate and research the relationship between encoding and decoding. This case study showcases my ability to collect specific data and formulate an appropriate action plan to help a student meet specific goals aimed to identify students' errors in encoding and decoding in the hopes a misconception would be identified and could then be addressed in or to decrease the margin of error between the two skills.
